Alex Govier plays his New Victoria Accordion For You In Cornwall Despite his expertise at getting amazing effects out of the Roland accordion, Alex has once again become interested in the original acoustic reed ccordion and has bought a top ranking Italian Victoria Accordion after a trip to Italy This accordion is amazing in its own right, being the model played by premier jazz accordionists Frank Marocco and Richard Gallia no and one of these highly prized instruments was even recently purchased to order from the Castelfidardo factory by Andrea Bocellli The acoustic accordion has an expressive quality and possibilities way beyond what you hear normally, and Alex was so impressed with what he could get from his Victoria accordion that he decided to share his discoveries with a website devoted to improving the sounds of accordionists everywhere. ive a unique continental atmosphere to your wedding celebrations by booking me to play for you on my Roland FR7x accordion. This is an instrument with vast possibilities.
Remember how great the accordion sounds for evoking a continental atmosphere, but this can do much more. Forget all the accordion stereotypes and throw away your preconceptions about what the accordion can do, or about its limitations.
Brilliant accordion sounds, yes, and tailored for the voicing of all types of music, so that the French music comes out with French style voicing, or Italian songs with a true Neapolitan or Venetian flavour as there are over 40 complete accordion layouts in the instrument. Or particular jazz accordion voicings so that I can play standards too. I can play so that it sounds like a small accordion-based band featuring interjections from Saxophone, Clarinet, vinraphone etc, accompanied by acoustic bass and guitar, and even with interjections from full string orchestra
Despite all this capability it is as adaptable to move around and play with no wires and plays like a normal accordion. This is a very versatile instrument particularly good for outdoor use and popular for adding a French or Italian flavour to your celebrations and, subject to weather conditions is equally at home outdoors. I normally use it with no leads attached so I am able to move around with it to your guests, just as with a normal accordion. For larger venues however, I can if necessary connect it to still stronger amplification either plugged in, or via wireless!
asy fast set-up means that my charges are very reasonable for accordion and that it can easily be added to your event alongside my famous piano music, for example, without difficulty or excessive extra cost
